Lobotomation by Jenya Doudareva

Lobotomation is a meditation on the human condition. Of course, I am far from being the first, and far from being the last person to write about the topic. However, the improbability, the banality, and the brutality of life never ceases to fascinate me. In Lobotomation, I am exploring what it’s like to be alive, what it’s like to be an animal that doesn’t think it’s an animal, what it’s like to be a mechanism, and what it’s like to be both a creator and a destructor.

Jenya Doudareva is an engineer who likes to tinker with technology and with words. Her poems are available on Amazon and have also been featured in Clementine Poetry Journal, and her paper on algorithms for safe irradiation of brain tumours is available in an operations research journal somewhere.

She currently lives in Toronto, Canada.
